(1)home minister P Chindambaram, power minster Sushil Kumar Shinde and
petroleum minister Jaipal Reddy are being
 considered to replace mukherjee as the leader of the house in the Lok
sabha. Further, the PM will have to appoint

(2)In a move thatwould reduce the overall debt cost, withholding tax
on ECB would be cut to 5 percent from 20 percent for
  threee years. Futher, the last dte for power generating projects to
seek tax holiday has been extended by one more year

(3) GDA has proposed that no external development  and city
development charges will be levied on such projectss if the
    private developer opts for building affordable bouses in the city.
Further, the coversion charges on
   land from agriculture to residential will be waived for such

(4)Reiterating his faith in India's long-term growth story. Tata Group
chairman Ratan Tata has said that the indian tiger
  is yet to be unleashed, and tha China's economic strength would
really not overpower India's. Further, underlining the
  importance of China for Indian businesses, Tata said India should
find out a way to be allies with its neighbour across

(6)Today, digital footprints allow law enforcement agencies to track
security threats emanting from cyberspace. The govern
  ment must focus on acquiring better technology and qualified and
trained man power to improve on those capabilites and
   go after terrorists and criminal syndicates, and not after
individuals and organisations that have constitutional
   rights. Further, provisions of Section 66A of the IT Act should be

(7)The GDA AND UPAVP, The two major development authorities here, have
decided to work together and fund several of major
   infrastructure in the city. Under the arrangement, the two
authorities will share 50% cost of the major projects agreed
   upon. The agencies will share the cost of a proposed overbridge on
river Hindon which will connect Vijay Nagar to
  Indirapuram. This 4-lane bridge will provide better connectivity
towards NH-24 and reduce pressure on the highway.
   Further, a mini international sports stadium for indoor sporthas
also been proposed to be built on six acres of land

(8)It has been around for three  years now, and has not made the kind
of impact that was expected of it but Tata Mototrs
   is not willing to give up on the World's cheapest car-Nano-just
yet. To revive the car's fortunes, however, a CNG
   version is slated to be launched later this year while a diesel
version is also under development. Furhter, Tata
   admitted that the performance of the company in the passenger car
segment was below expectations.

(10)But, the instability in Pakistan does not augur well because many
diverse and contentious issues, internal as well as
   external, are enmeshed in the religious-political-cum military
system of government in Pakistan. The instability in
   Pakistan may be favourable to the  army. In any case, the political
forces will never be able to unite due to their
   differences and can never force the army to remain confined to the
barracks. Further, since the army has always been
    the preferred choice of the hardliners and the US, the destiny, of
pakistan, today,lies in the hands of the army,
   which has all along been eager to capture political
