economically weaker sections and later help them get jobs.
Currently, 15 girls from janakpuri and nearby areas are being trained
for
two hours every day. the police said the idea behind to young girls
is to make them feel confident. "Most of these girls are uneducated
and a number of them were forced into marriage at young age. With
only one earning member, they find it difficult to meet ends. In such
cases, husbands started harassing them. If they earn on their own,
they can avoid harassment," a senior police officer said.

to digital mode in four metro cities, the entertainment tax department
is
planning a drive against local cable operators who have not
installed set-top boxes despite requests from customers. The move
follows complaints
that some cable operators are not installing the devices even as
the digitisation deadline draws closer, officials said. " Cable
operators claim that
70% connections have already gone digital and set-top boxes
installed. But we are getting complaints that the operators have kept
the devices with themselves,"
said an entertainment tax department official. "In such cases, the
consumers should report the matter tot he sub-divisional magistrate or
our offices'" said
